In today’s news, Turkey gifts playground for refugee children in Namibia, researchers find global lockdown decreases seismic activity, experts urge marine conservation in United Kingdom, Australian scientists develop water pollution detector from human hair, kind Indian psychologist cares for baby while his parents make COVID-19 recovery, vegan vitamin D approved as food additive in United States and European Union provides funds to help safeguard wildlife.

Turkey, a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate, gifts refugee children in Namibia with playground.

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) has built a playground and given sports equipment to the 1,000 children living in the Namibia Osire Refugee Camp. The youngsters will be able to enjoy sports including football, basketball, volleyball, and netball when the playground is fully operational after the pandemic. Özlem Güvenç, TİKA’s Program Coordinator in Windhoek, Namibia’s capital, shared that the playground was a gift to Namibian children from Turkish children to honor World Refugee Day. Our gratefulness, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, for your kind gift. In Heaven’s immeasurable blessings, may the lovely youngsters be happy and thrive, as we embrace one another in a peaceful world.

Lockdown allows scientists to gather data on Earth’s seismic activity.

The recent COVID-19 lockdowns resulted in a 50% decrease in Earth’s vibrations caused by human activities. This rare event allowed an international group of scientists to collect data from 268 seismic measuring stations in 117 countries. Dr. Stephen Hicks of the Imperial College of London, one of the researchers involved, said, “Our study uniquely highlights just how much human activities impact the solid Earth, and could let us see more clearly than ever what differentiates human and natural noise [ground vibrations].” The lockdown period also allowed scientists to listen more closely to bird and whale songs than they have been able to in decades. Noble scientists and researchers, thank you for your dedication to studying the planet. May your findings lead to further insights into our fascinating world, so we can become better stewards of our precious globe, in God’s infinite care.

Up next, experts urge marine conservation in United Kingdom. We give thanks to the environmental lawyers who uphold regulations that safeguard wildlife and nature while also advocating for new good policies. We’ll be right back, with more refreshing news on Supreme Master Television.

Hallo, brilliant viewers, I’m Anselmo the vegan Andean Cock-of-the-Rock! Where does my endless energy come from? Plants! Be vegan. Today, I have a household tip to share with you. If you have screws that keep coming loose, remove the screw, apply a thin layer of nail polish to the threads, and screw it back in. After it dries, the nail polish will hold the screw in place. Thank you for watching, and much love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Here’s the weather around the world!

Experts call for greater marine conservation in the United Kingdom.

An independent review has called on the government to enhance the safeguarding of the UK’s marine habitat to help ensure a full recovery of damaged environments. The 136-page Benyon Review Into Highly Protected Marine Areas was conducted by eight authorities in the field and highlighted the multitude of benefits of these more strictly protected regions. These include “increased tourism and recreational activities, opportunities for scientific research and education, and positive impacts on human health.” The document calls for Highly Protected Marine Areas to be established alongside current Marine Protected Areas, with activities such as kayaking, scuba diving and vessel transit being allowed while activities harmful to wildlife, such as fishing, building and dredging would be prohibited. Our many thanks, all involved in the review, for your timely report urging further preservation efforts of your nation’s treasured marine ecosystems. We pray all environments on land and sea are soon restored to a flourishing and healthful state, in Celestial splendor.

Australian researchers create pollution sensors from hair.

Scientists from the Queensland University of Technology and Griffith University in Australia have produced sensors from human hair that can detect impurities in water. The hair is heated to 180 degrees Celsius in an oxygen-deficient environment to create highly fluorescent, nano-sized carbon dots that are sensitive to different chemicals and contaminants. While dark hair is good at detecting chloroform pollution, blonde hair is suited for sensing metals like magnesium. The carbon dots are so effective in some cases that they can detect chloroform at a concentration of three parts per billion. Such an ingenious project, Queensland University of Technology and Griffith University researchers. In the goodness and wisdom of the Providence, may your advancement help lead to a new future where there is an abundance of pristine water for all.

Doctor cares for infant child of COVID-19 patients.

Dr. Mary Anitha, a clinical psychologist from the city of Kochi on the southwest coast of India, immediately agreed to take care of a six-month-old baby boy whose parents, both nurses, had tested positive for COVID-19. Dr. Anitha, a mother of three, first went into isolation with the baby on a hospital ward where the infant’s mother was being treated. Later she rented an apartment when he tested negative for the virus for the second time. Dr. Anitha’s three kind children brought the pair food and needed items. Thankfully, after one month, the parents recovered for a joyful reunion with their healthy boy. During the lockdown, Dr. Anitha has also distributed food packets to street dwellers, migrant workers and the police. Heaven bless you, and our heartfelt appreciation, Dr. Mary Anitha! Your selfless and heroic love radiates light in the lives of those you touch, in the benevolence of the Divine.

Coming up, vegan vitamin D approved as food additive in United States. We’re going to pause to appreciate being greeted so warmly by our loving animal companions. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more wonderful news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Elegant News for a Graceful World.

Vegan vitamin D receives approval as food additive from federal United States agency.

US-based ingredients manufacturer PLT Health Solutions has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for their vegan Earthlight® Whole Food Vitamin D. It is produced by exposing mushrooms to UV light, which are then made into a powder that provides 40,000 IU of vitamin D per gram. GMO-free and available in the organic form, it can be used in a range of food categories from breakfast cereals to plant-based meats, with the benefit of not changing the flavor of foods. Vitamin D helps to build and maintain healthy bones, among many other possible health benefits. Congratulations, PLT Health Solutions, and best wishes on your vegan products. May more and more nutritious vegan options continue to blossom as love of all beings becomes commonplace, in God’s delight.

European Union provides funds to help safeguard wildlife.

The EU has allocated €6 million to support wildlife conservation needs brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. The grants will be used for two programs managed by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). One is called Biodiversity and Protected Areas Management (BIOPAMA), which will receive €2 million and fund around 60 conservation projects in African, Caribbean and Pacific countries; the other is the IUCN Save Our Species African Wildlife Initiative, which will receive €4 million and help to protect land and freshwater species in Madagascar and Sub-Saharan Africa. The European Union is a Shining World Leadership Award for Peace recipient, and a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Unconditional World Care and True Caring laureate. Our gratitude European Union, International Union for Conservation of Nature and all involved, for your caring actions to ensure our vulnerable co-inhabitants are safe. In Heaven’s grace, may all beautiful wildlife live joyfully and serenely as we move into a harmonious and vegan golden age.

This joke is guaranteed to be funny. But if you won’t laugh. Well, then you won’t! It’s entitled “Tough Job.”

“You always say that you have one of the toughest jobs. What is your job?”

“Selling doors, door-to-door.”
