In today’s news, Italy to admit 500 migrants from Libya via Humanitarian Corridors initiative, research shows climate change causing significant drop in freshwater lakes’ oxygen levels, Australia creating online environmental services trading system to encourage farmers to plant trees and protect biodiversity, skull of possible new ancient species of human discovered in China, Senegalese football star builds hospital in home village, frozen dessert chain in United States partners with Oatly to offer vegan soft serve, and talented canine creates artwork for charity in Las Vegas, United States.

Italy embraces Humanitarian Corridor approach for entry of 500 refugees from Libya.

Italian Interior Minister, Her Excellency Luciana Lamorgese, announced the signing of an agreement to bring 500 migrants stranded in Libya to Italy. The announcement was made during a conference in Rome called “Governing Migration: The Best Practice of Humanitarian Corridors.” This initiative will involve the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and will be overseen by Rome’s Community of Sant'Egidio and the Waldensians. Her Excellency said, “Rights and responsibilities go hand in hand, and therefore work must be done not only to accommodate migrants but also to integrate them.” Italy is a Shining World Leadership Award for Public Health Protection recipient. What an embracing endeavor, Italy. May other countries follow your benevolent way in hosting and assisting migrants to rebuild their lives. We pray for love and peace to be everywhere so that the sufferings of all refugees and migrants are a thing of the past, in God’s immense grace.

Global warming substantially decreases oxygen levels in freshwater lakes.

New research led by scientists at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the United States indicates that climate change and human activity are drivers behind decreasing oxygen amounts in freshwater lakes. The study looked at nearly 400 lakes in temperate areas worldwide and analyzed water temperature and oxygen saturation dating back to 1941. Since 1980, the oxygen levels have dipped an average of 5.5% at the surface and 18.6% in deep waters, a rate around 3-9 times faster than the oxygen decrease observed in the world’s oceans. The oxygen depletion endangers aquatic life and has a drastic impact on the surrounding ecosystem, as freshwater lakes support a high level of the planet’s biodiversity. Our appreciation, RPI scientists and all involved, for sounding the alarm about climate change through your work. May humans everywhere quickly adopt loving lifestyle changes that support our continued life on the planet, in Celestial oneness.

Up next, Australia creating online environmental services trading system to encourage farmers to plant trees and protect biodiversity. We’ll take a moment to thank responsible and ethical financial advisors who help their clients build wealth and plan for the future with equal concern for the wellbeing of all life on our precious planetary home. Please stay with us for more cooling news on Supreme Master Television. Vegan side effect: So much more mental clarity.

Hi, energetic friends, I am Gavin the vegan Golden-cheeked Gibbon! I don’t mean to brag, but I’m very cute and adorable. I love eating plant-based foods as it fills my heart with love. Be more loving by being vegan, like me! It’s wise to ensure that we stay active throughout the day to stay fit and healthy – even while you are watching TV. Squeeze in workouts by doing sit-ups, push-ups or high-knees, where you lift your knees up towards your chest, moving at a running pace. You could also get on a treadmill or stationary bicycle while watching your favorite shows. Thank you for your attention and love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now, the weather around the globe.

Australia financially encourages farmers to protect environment and stem climate change.

The Australian government is launching the world’s first online platform under the newly approved Agriculture Biodiversity Stewardship Package, which will allow farmers to receive and sell credits by engaging in carbon-storing activities and biodiversity services on their land, to support their livelihood. Credits can be earned via planting trees, restoring native habitat, measuring and maintaining carbon stored in their soil, and other good land management practices like preventing soil erosion and safeguarding waterways. These credits can then be sold to companies or individuals looking to offset their own emissions or invest in the environment. Australia is a recipient of five Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, and Shining World Leadership Awards for Protection and Good Governance; as well as a laureate of three Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, and Shining World Leadership Awards for Caring, Good Governance, Health Guardian and High Moral Value. Way to go, Australian government, on your forward-thinking plan to encourage your vast nation’s farmers to protect biodiversity and improve the soil. May your Agriculture Biodiversity Stewardship Package support native forests and habitats and create havens for our dear wildlife, in the guidance of the Providence.

Ancient human skull discovered in Harbin, China, possibly new species.

The skull of an ancient human, which was found in 1933 and donated to scientists in China in 2018, is thought to be a potential new species and perhaps our closest evolutionary relative. Named Homo Longi after the Dragon River in Heilongjiang province where the skull was found, he lived at least 146,000 years ago. Homo Longi has the biggest cranium of any known human ancestor at around 1,420 cubic centimeters, and larger brow ridges, bigger molar teeth and also larger, more angular-shaped eyes than modern day humans. Such exciting news, scientists in China, on the discovery of a possible long-lost human relative. May the knowledge gained from studying Homo Longi help us to feel a closer affinity with every human on the planet as we recognize our interconnectedness, in the love of the Buddha.

Celebrated Senegalese footballer builds hospital in home village.

World-famous professional football player Sadio Mané, who currently plays for Liverpool Football Club, funded the almost US$630,000 needed for the building of a new hospital in Bambali, Senegal, enabling the village to have its first-ever healthcare facility. This generous contribution was due to Mr. Mané’s memory of when he was only seven years old and losing his father to an illness because there was no hospital in the area. He said, “I wanted to build [a hospital] to give people hope.” So far, Mr. Mané has donated over US$1 million to help develop Bambali, including constructing a high school for nearly US$350,000. He also contributed more than US$57,000 to Senegalese health authorities to help them respond to the coronavirus in 2020. Thank you, Sadio Mané, for your generosity and kindness. May Bambali and surrounding villages always be able to access quality healthcare and education, in Allah’s grace.

Coming up, frozen dessert chain in United States partners with Oatly to offer vegan soft serve. We’ll take a short pause to learn a gluten-free and vegan way to make a friend’s favorite food, as there are plenty of tips for this nowadays on the internet. We’ll return with more joyful news on Supreme Master Television. Vegan: Your seat in Heaven can’t be exchanged. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Alleviating News for a Hopeful World.

Popular United States frozen dessert chain expands its vegan options.

16 Handles has joined with Sweden-headquartered vegan food company Oatly to introduce four new vegan soft serve offerings: Iced Latte, Vanilla, Chocolate, and Chai Tea. The exciting new flavors are a welcome addition to the restaurant’s other delectable vegan items. Solomon Choi, the CEO and founder of 16 Handles, noted that the collaboration with Oatly is 16 Handle’s “most meaningful” partnership. He enthusiastically shared: “When we got the chance to come together and launch Oatly’s creamy, decadent, flavorful soft serve for a magical summer of dairy-free deliciousness, we said YES…” Oatly has its soft serve also being sold at two stadiums in the US during Major League Baseball games. Our appreciation, 16 Handles and Oatly for these icy delights. We cannot wait to taste the yummy new treats! In Divine light and love, we are thankful that the lives-saving vegan lifestyle is becoming ever more accessible.

Talented canine in Las Vegas, United States, paints for charity.

Border Collie mix Arbor, who was adopted from an animal shelter, has been creating beautiful paintings that are sold online to raise money for animal rescue groups. Arbor’s works of art have so far raised US$14,000, with one of the pieces fetching US$2,100. Initially, when she started painting, her human companion Bryce Henderson placed images of them on a Facebook page, which grew to 100,000 followers within minutes and is now at 500,000. He encourages people to look to no-kill shelters for their next animal companion because, “They’ll end up being your best friend...” Our applause, gifted Arbor for creating your beautiful artwork, and Bryce Henderson for your support of the animals. We pray that your actions will help more homeless souls in animal shelters find loving residences, in the blessings of Heaven.

Here comes the joke of the day, laugh at it or not. It’s entitled “A Competent Answer.”

In math class, the teacher asked the students:

“Susan went to the library at 5:15 pm and left at 5:30 pm. How long was Susan at the library?”

One student eagerly raised her hand to answer.

“Not very long at all!”

And now we have a heartline from Đan in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam:

Dear Beloved Master, I was initiated by You when I was a high school student, about 30 years ago. After that afternoon, even though I didn’t have many inner experiences, my heart and mind were brightened up.

It was as if I entered into a real world, and I did not feel attached to anything on this Earth. I did not want to study anymore. I only wanted to be a monk to do God’s work.

However, I had to force myself to finish high school. I went to school, but I always thought about the Five Holy Names and Master. I kept looking for a way to escape from life to fulfill my ideal.

Then Master arranged for me to have a vegan restaurant for 10 years already. My life is now stable. Your disciple, Đan from Âu Lạc (Vietnam)

Considerate Đan, Thank you for writing. We are happy to know that you are serving delicious vegan food through your restaurant, helping people transition to a compassionate lifestyle as Heavens have intended. Your meaningful work is commendable!

Master has some caring words for you: “Devoted Đan, my thanks to you for your faith in the Divine and continuing diligently on the path of inner realization. You are doing your best in this way to uplift others through your vegan restaurant, and Heavens rejoice with countless other beings for your noble work which rescues precious lives. Please continue your mission with heart, mind, soul and more joyful determination. Thank you. May you and beautiful Âu Lạc (Vietnam) be blessed in Buddha’s eternal Light.”
