The Hindu scriptures, a treasure trove of spiritual wisdom, are filled with detailed cosmic visions of the past, present, and future. In our previous episode, we glimpsed into the holy Bhagavata Purana and Mahabharata's description of the Kali Yuga. But in the Vayu Purana, we discover that there is a positive side to the Kali Yuga. "But piety practiced for one day (in Kali Yuga) is equal to that practiced for one month in Dvapara Yuga and a year in Treta Yuga (the two preceding ages)." Supreme Master Ching Hai has often mentioned that to practice spiritually in our world at this time is indeed a blessed opportunity to progress quickly. "…When we have obstacles, our spiritual practice will get better…." "It's the last age of Kali Yuga, and God is very, very generous…." In order to make rapid spiritual progress in the Kali Yuga, the Bhagavata Purana reveals that one must simply repeat the Holy Names of God. "Those who are actually advanced in Knowledge are able to appreciate the essential value of this Age of Kali. Such enlightened persons worship Kali Yuga because in this fallen age, all perfection of life can easily be achieved by the performance of sankirtana (reciting God's Names)." Imparting the way to achieve the highest consciousness or enlightenment, Supreme Master Ching Hai also teaches us to recite Divine Holy Names, charged by the Master power, as an essential part of our practice. "It's not the Names; it's the charging power also, the living charging power." "You even have the God of the whole universe to protect you also. And different Levels, you have different Gods, and the whole hierarchy of that Level also protecting, looking out for you. That's why the Five Gods' Level Names are very important."
