New Day New Chef is a fun and informative new plant-based cooking show, hosted by Jane Velez-Mitchell. Jane is a New York Times bestselling author, former CNN Headline News host, and founder and editor of JaneUnchained, an online social media news outlet promoting the vegan lifestyle. In addition to hosting New Day New Chef, Jane is also the executive producer, along with multi-Emmy Award winner, Eamonn McCrystal, and TV/radio producer and host, Elysabeth Alfano.

In February 2020, Jane and her team of more than 70 talented, dedicated, and hardworking people launched the first 8-episode series of New Day New Chef. The first 8-part series of New Day New Chef features fun, delicious, and easy vegan recipes, including triple-decker veggie burgers, spicy stuffed Italian peppers, double chocolate marshmallow fluff sandwiches, festival burritos, and many more. The shows, which debuted on Amazon Prime in the United States and the United Kingdom, were carefully designed to be both readily accessible and highly beneficial to viewers. One unique aspect of New Day New Chef is that it features all different kinds of celebrity chefs, including Olympic medalists, movie stars, muscular bodybuilders, and even a yoga master.

In an interview with fellow executive producer, Elysabeth Alfano, Jane explains how a plant-based lifestyle contributes to our level of happiness. “It’s a great mood that you get from being plant-based. Because you know with every meal, instead of hurting, you’re helping. You’re helping reverse climate change; you’re helping your own Earth, health, and you’re helping the animals, too. So, it’s a win-win-win. And, it’s really part of a philosophy that life doesn’t have to be a zero-sum game. We don’t have to kill to survive. That’s very old thinking. And we have to transition; we have to evolve as a species.”
