In today’s news, Ethiopian refugees in Sudan receive life-saving relief packages, leading policy institute calls for a plant-sourced food system to halt biodiversity loss, Cambodian villagers exchange plastic waste for rice, New Zealand-manufactured wind machines help crops survive frosty winters, 12-year-old Canadian boy donates essential items for the homeless, Starbucks adds Beyond Meat to Middle East locations, and world’s first platypus sanctuary to be built in Australia.

Qatar humanitarian organization assists Ethiopian refugees.

Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), a Shining World Compassion Award laureate, has provided food and necessities to 27,000 Ethiopian refugees at the Tunaydbah refugee camp in Gadarif State in Sudan. The displaced people were experiencing shortages ranging from water, food, and shelter, to youth protection and psychosocial support. In response to the dire situation, QRCS has delivered 2,500 food parcels, each weighing 44 kilograms, and 2,000 hygiene kits to 4,500 refugee families with a value of over US$1.8 million. In addition, QRCS has planned to provide an extra 1,000 food parcels and 2,180 relief kits that include kitchenware, blankets, soap, and other necessities, as well as install 300 permanent toilets. Our warm gratitude, Qatar Red Crescent Society, for your timely support to sisters and brothers in need. May peace soon emerge in the progressive nation of Ethiopia, as more people turn to a benevolent way of life, in Allah’s mercy.

International policy institute recommends a plant-based food system to curb biodiversity decline.

In a paper published by United Kingdom-based leading policy institute Chatham House, also known as the Royal Institute of International Affairs, the authors warn that livestock raising is accelerating the destruction of natural habitats and species, which are “crucial to human and planetary health.” Titled, “Food System Impacts on Biodiversity Loss,” the 75-page report proposed three “levers” to urgently help halt Earth’s rapidly declining biodiversity. First, we should promote more plant-based diets, as animal farming causes a “disproportionate impact” on “biodiversity, land use and the environment.” Second, we must protect more lands from agricultural use and restore them for nature. Third, enable less-intensified, sustainable farming by reducing food demand and moving away from “high impact food” such as red meat and dairy. Notably, all three recommendations are inter-related and dependent on a global “dietary change.” Many thanks, Chatham House and all researchers involved in this valuable study. For human and planetary survival, may all countries take quick and bold actions to bring about a vegan world, in Heaven’s omniscience.

Up next, Cambodian villagers participate in a novel environmental clean-up program. We’ll just take a moment to thank car detailers who provide excellent service for cleaning both the interior and exterior of our car, including shampooing, vacuuming, washing, polishing and drying, to make our vehicle look almost new. Please stay tuned for more outstanding news on Supreme Master Television.

Good day, elated viewers, I’m Wiley the vegan Wombat. It makes sense that when you eat foods with light and love, like raw fruits and veggies, your aura will naturally be radiant. So, let it shine and go vegan like me! I have a crafty tip for you today. Repurpose your old, unwanted, clean shower curtain by transforming it into an entertaining play mat that your children can enjoy. Let them make roads and cityscapes to play with their toy cars by encouraging them to draw and color on it using dry erase markers. Their creations can easily be wiped off of the plastic liner later and the curtain re-used for another wonderful play day. Love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Thank you for tuning in, and now for the weather around the globe.

Cambodian villagers exchange plastic for rice in environmental protection initiative. Villagers of the floating Kampong Khlaing commune of Siem Reap Province in Cambodia have been gathering plastic waste from the Tonlé Sap Lake that they can exchange for rice. Organized by the Tampaing Snong Russey Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment, the program is part of a conservation project to clean up rivers and lakes in Cambodia. The collected plastic waste is dried and shredded, and the resulting powder is combined with other materials, such as cement or sand, then shaped in a mold. The bricks will be used to construct a school and later to build sidewalks and a courtyard around the school. Fantastic idea, Tampaing Snong Russey Foundation and the Ministry of the Environment, for helping resolve pollution issues plus improving the lives of the villagers. May Buddha’s infinite love and blessings be with the Cambodian people always!

Frost-negating wind turbines help crops survive through winter.

The Netherlands-based agricultural machinery company Zeelandtrac is partnering with distributor Swift International to sell specialized wind machines to assist farmers in safeguarding their crops in the region. Manufactured by New Zealand company Tow and Blow, the product works by drawing warmer air at a slightly higher altitude into the cold air near the ground to prevent crops from being harmed by frigid temperatures. Durably built, a single turbine can keep crops safe on up to 4.5 hectares, while upgraded models underway are expected to protect seven hectares. The frost machines are currently used on hundreds of farms worldwide, saving valuable plant produce from seasonal frost damage. Way to go, Tow and Blow, Swift International and Zeelandtrac, for aiding farmers in enhancing crop yield! In Heaven’s radiance, may we learn more ways to effectively grow nutritious organic fruits and vegetables to feed a vegan world.

Twelve-year-old boy donates essential items for homeless community members.

Loghan Wallace from Oromocto, New Brunswick, Canada, assembled and donated 45 care packages containing masks, mittens, hats, toothpaste, feminine products and other essential items to Fredericton Homeless Shelters. A handwritten note saying “You matter!” was also included in each bag. After seeing a homeless man ask for change on a bitterly cold winter day, Loghan wanted to assist the homeless community and asked his peers and teachers at Harold Peterson Middle School to help gather essential items. The parcels were given to individuals at two homeless shelters and those in need on the street. Ever since his loving endeavor went viral on Facebook, thousands of people have made donations to the Fredericton Homeless Shelters. Our heartfelt appreciation, Loghan Wallace, for your selfless deed and compassionate message that provides warmth and support to our vulnerable co-citizens. May your love in action continue to inspire others to do the same, in God’s overflowing goodness.

Up next on Noteworthy News, Starbucks brings vegan meat to their menus in the Middle East. We’ll just take a moment to be grateful for the opportunity we have to gain spiritual wisdom through the grace of the enlightened Masters, Saints and Sages. We’ll return with more refreshing news on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Supporting News for a Bountiful World.

Starbucks adds Beyond Meat to their menu in Middle East locations.

The Starbucks coffee chain recently added two new sandwiches containing vegan Beyond Meat to over 200 of its stores across Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, due to increased demand for meat-free options. It is part of the coffeehouse’s steps to reduce their carbon footprint. Starbucks also offers a range of plant-based milks as they work toward decreasing their use of dairy, which was attributed to be responsible for 21% of their carbon emissions in 2018. Thank you, Starbucks, for your Earth-friendly efforts. In the light of the Divine, may more businesses strive to become carbon neutral and fully vegan for the well-being of all life on our precious planet.

Australia to build world’s first platypus refuge.

The Taronga Conservation Society and the New South Wales government of Australia have announced the development of a first of its kind platypus sanctuary to be completed in 2022. Prompted by the 2019-2020 Australian bushfires that caused an estimated three billion animal fatalities, the sanctuary will be used for rescue, rehabilitation and research to prevent the precious species from extinction. The dedicated facility made of ponds and burrows will be able to house up to 65 of the semiaquatic mammals. New South Wales is a recipient of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, and a Shining World Leadership Award for Protection; as well as a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and Caring laureate. Our gratefulness, Taronga Conservation Society and New South Wales government, for all your work in protecting the iconic platypuses. May humanity quickly adopt the climate-saving vegan diet, so that our wildlife co-inhabitants can stay safe and live peacefully in their natural environments.

Please sit back and relax with the joke of the day called, “Pregnancy’s Wonder.”

When Mary was pregnant, her five-year-old daughter, Lilly, was utterly amazed and a little bit disbelieving that her sister was growing in her mom’s tummy. So one day when the baby was especially active, she asked Lilly to place her tiny hands on her tummy to feel the baby kick.

“But I don’t feel the baby moving now, Mom!”

“Oh, Lilly, she must have decided to take a nap.”

“A nap? You mean there’s a bed in there too?”

And now we have a heartline from Tu Po in the United States:

Hi Master, My name is Tu Po. I’m 5 years old, and I’m vegan to help save animals and the world. I meditate every Sunday morning with Master, Mommy and Daddy for World Vegan because I love animals and want the world to be vegan. I also help Mommy and Daddy at Loving Hut every day. Master, can You give me a UFO to fly to other planets to play with other beings on those planets? Thank You, Master. I love You. Love, Tu Po from the United States P.S. Mommy and Daddy love You too.

Caring Tu Po, Supreme Master Ching Hai has a message for you: “Pure little Tu Po, what a wonderful picture your words paint, and I wish all children may know the sentiments you so beautifully express. Your love for the animals, your family, and the great work you are doing together to promote a vegan world warms my heart. I send a big hug and my Love and appreciation to you and your loved ones. May the Divine grace your lives with joy and wondrous things. May God bless you and the compassionate American people with harmony and abundance.”
