Published in 1966, “The Way of the White Clouds” was written by Lama Anagarika Govinda, a German wisdom seeker. In his book, Lama Govinda documents his pilgrimage through the remotest parts of Tibet 1930s and 40s, taking photographs and creating drawings. He beautifully recounts the Tibetan scenery and describes local communities as they had existed for hundreds of years. With a travel, adventure dialogue, Lama Govinda also contemplates some of life’s greatest questions, discussing, in a very enlightened way, some very complex Tibetan Buddhist practices. Lama Anagarika Govinda met many teachers and finally found his Guru Domo Geshe Rinpoche.
