Several doctors from Plant-Based Health Professionals UK, a nonprofit organization, have joined together with the global No Meat May campaign to urge the public to be vegan to help the world avoid future pandemics. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Gratefully present Plant-Based Health Professionals UK the Shining World Compassion Award, with much love, high esteem and gratitude, also thanks to the No Meat May campaign. May Heavens forever bless you and all involved in working toward a peaceful and love-filled vegan future.”

The next Shining World Award is to honor two sisters from Turkey, who provide food for hungry animals during the pandemic. Necla Varol and her sister Nazife Çoklaş have been driving around the Gallipoli peninsula of western Turkey every day to feed around 200 stray animals living in the 100-kilometer area. Making up for the visitors and residents who would normally be there to feed them, the kind volunteers diligently distribute about 120 kilograms of donated food from their van. Ms. Varol has dedicated her efforts to animal welfare since 2014 when she founded the Association for the Protection and Survival of Eceabat Stray Animals. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Warmly present the Shining World Compassion Award to Necla Varol and Nazife Çoklaş, plus a US$10,000 loving contribution to support the noble cause, with much love, praises and gratitude. May Heaven bless you manyfold for your caring hearts.”

Now we journey to India to learn about three charitable organizations, whose volunteers lovingly take care of street animals during the pandemic lockdown. Bark India Charitable Trust of Puducherry, Casper’s Home in Agra, and Charlie’s Animal Rescue Centre in Bengaluru are three animal charities working to supply food to animals including dogs, cows, birds and monkeys. Moreover, the animal welfare workers are rescuing dogs left alone in homes when their human companions are quarantined elsewhere. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Thankfully present the Shining World Compassion Award to Bark India Charitable Trust, Casper’s Home and Charlie’s Animal Rescue Centre, plus US$10,000 each in humble support of your noble efforts, with lots of love, high esteem and heartfelt gratitude, in Heaven’s blessings and protection.”

The next Shining World Award Recipient is an American film industry caterer. Along with his wife Lena Viddo and son Valentino, Felipe Avalos, co-owner of Big Love Catering in Brooklyn, New York, has been preparing free nutritious plant-based meals for seven of the state’s hospitals during the coronavirus crisis. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Thankfully present the Shining World Caring Award to Felipe Avalos, Lena Viddo and Valentino, and a US$10,000 contribution in humble support of your noble family effort, with lots of love, gratitude and praise. May God bless you and your team always, in Divine protection.”
