For example, if you are already on top of the Second Level, but you go out, initiate (people), and you think you are doing it because people praise you or love you or do something, bow to you, give you offerings, and then you enjoy too much luxury of the offering of the people, then you’re lost! You’re lost not only in that, you cannot come up, you come down from 5 to 10 degrees, even up to 20 degrees down. You become 50 degrees or 40 degrees. That is Astral Level. Or you get angry with people, you think that you are on top, and they are lower. You don’t look; you don’t respect them. Even the lower people, if you don’t respect them, you’ll be in trouble.
And now I’m telling you, even at your Third Level, if you don’t respect people, and you enjoy too much, you’ll also have trouble. The trouble is that the karma you incur needs to be eliminated immediately. But the beauty of this is that the Lord of Karma can only punish you. He cannot bind you in this world anymore, He cannot even pull your level down anymore as you are. You might stop there a little, but you will always go up, slow or fast, or stop for a while but always go up. You will not go down from the Third Level anymore, that’s the beauty of it.
But you will have punishment if you overdo your things, if you overspend in this world because everything in this world belongs to the Lord of Karma. You cannot say you’re a saint, you come here and enjoy a free lunch and then just go up. No, that’s why you still have to do service. To be equal to the things that you spend.
Even if the Lord of Karma doesn’t want to punish you, you will have to go through hell, hellfire in the life to burn out all this garbage. Because if you want to be on the Third Level or up, you have to be less material. The more material in your being, or tainted your soul and mind and everything, the more heavy. The heavy things always sink to the bottom. So, it’s not like... Even if the Lord of Karma does not count anything that you eat, you spend on, you do anything here, you’re still tainted with material things. That’s why – simple life. Simple life and tolerant humility. Do not learn, like I reprimand people, and you do the same. No, no, no. I’m doing that for their sake. I don’t enjoy doing that, and I don’t even want to. It’s not my being.
So don’t think you’re a saint, and then you can do anything you want. Moderation in every kind. Remember, every time you pay attention to other people, be it anger, attachment, or affection, anything, that’s trouble, that makes trouble for you. You lose, or you delay, or you stop. You stop your progress. Everything that you give to others, you lose. It’s all about you. It’s not about anybody else. So from today, remember that. Everything, every time you pay attention to anybody, be it anger or something unreasonable or attachment, you lose – you lost your time, you lost your allotted time to go up. And of course, you will go up, but then you lost the period of … You should have gone up here already, but you didn’t. You stay there. And then you have to start from there again. So, everything is yours; everything treasured’s yours. So guard your treasure with care. It’s fragile. It’s new.
And even if you go to the Fifth Level, you still have to be careful. But of course, you can wash easier. If you’re a Master, it’s your duty to wash the disciples. If they’re bad, if they’re dirty somewhere, you have to do it in many different ways. But if you’re not a Master, take care that you don’t do it. OK? Because you will suffer for nothing and lose your spiritual merit. Who wants that? Are you cold? Sit in here. (No.) No? The floor’s not cold? (No, not...) (No.) No? OK. You could have brought your pillow.
Alright, this is my secret. No, because I don’t always remember the thing that I know, just only when I want to share it with you. If I don’t write it down, I forget also. Because I have many other things coming. Information doesn’t always come whenever I want. It comes when I need it, of course, but not like when I want to give it to you, it comes back again. Because I have other things coming; it’s like a computer. You don’t overload it. So, I wrote it down this time. So make sure you’re OK. There’re some things I write out, some things I don’t. It depends.
Anyway, now you understand all that? Be humble, be sweet, be nice, be gentle. It’s better for you. Don’t look at what I do. Just do what you should do. Do what I tell you to do, not what I do. I have a different job. For example, in the classroom, the teacher reprimands all of the class people, but she probably picks out some good students to try to teach a little bit. Some days, she assigns, “OK, today you teach this lesson, that lesson.” But that doesn’t mean that that student has the right or the merit to scold the whole class. Only the teacher can do that, because she knows what she’s doing. The student just assigns one or two lessons a few days. She has no status of a teacher at all to do it. Even if you can teach the Quan Yin Method, you’re not the teacher. You’re not the Chosen One. When a Chosen One comes, I will let you know. Alright? I will. There will be a lot of exciting news coming, but I’m not telling you. And it’s not the time for you to know. You’ll know later, maybe, maybe. There are times to know something. Because if you eat too much, you can’t digest.
What else do I want to tell you? I think that’s just about it. Just glad to see you. Glad you came up, and other people will come up a little bit more. You know, many of you almost come there, almost there already, and drop, boop. Oh, I was watching and said, “Oh no! Oh no!” Many of you, many of them were there. Already 60 (degrees) there, already at the border of the Third Level, and get angry, scold some people, moved out, angry with me, criticizing me, criticizing people, lazy, don’t do the job assigned.
Jobs never hurt you. Work never hurts you. It only helps you. It only helps you. You should be sorry that you don’t have enough work to do to work out your karma. It’s not that I need you to work. But you eat, you drink, you breathe in this world. You need to return it, or else it costs you your spiritual bank. And spiritual bank’s so hard to earn. Every work, money, everything you can earn, but spiritual – very difficult. My God, it’s not just to sit all day and then you become a saint. No, no, no, no, that’s a wrong notion. Even the air you breathe, is it free? No, it’s not. The water you drink is free? No, it’s not. The earth you walk on, free? No. Even when you eat nothing, you drink nothing, as long as you breathe, you have to pay for it, in some form. So, many of you have lost.
One of you, I see he has so much karma and burden. I took him here. He’s almost there already. And then, I don’t know, he got mad with me. Then he left. Now he lost five (degrees); not only he didn’t come up, he lost five degrees. If I did not interfere, he would have lost more. If I had not tried hard to make peace with him before he left, he would have lost more than that. It’s so difficult, so difficult to help you. Not that I don’t want. Of course, I told you this many times, but you don’t understand. This is not new, right? Nothing new, right? Did I tell you this before? (You did.) I did. But you listen here, it goes out there. You don’t understand anything. And then when the time comes for a test, you think, “Oh, Master’s terrible! Oh, that saint’s terrible! What kind of saint he is? He must be on the First Level, not the Third Level. He’s terrible.”
Either of you will lose. There’s a test all the time. Because all of you are different. All of you are different. You take the personal test, and all of you have different karma. It’s not only karma that you have with you, but you create new karma every day with your colleagues, with your own residents or with other disciples or with outside people even. You go outside, you get mad with other people, you come home, you lost some. That’s why many of you regress, and many of you don’t come up. You could have. Some of you lost many degrees, here and the residents in Miaoli.
The one who stayed with Tong, the Aulacese (Vietnamese), she’s supposed to go up, but because she moved out... She’s angry with the others. She should have been patient and endure humiliation. Then she would have gone up with you. You stay, you don’t say anything, you’re OK. She packed and left because she’s angry with the lower residents. Then both of them lost. One can move back in, like being a “victim,” but also lost because not grateful for somebody else, not thinking that Master used somebody to scold you or make trouble for you. It’s a test for you to go up because I’m not there. So, who else is to test you?
Anybody near, anybody near is to be used by Master to test you. But because he’s doing it with the ego, the other one thinks, “That person scolded me, how can they?” And then moves out, and then both are lost. Some lost more, some lost less, but still lost. It’s very bad.
Anyway, so that’s the thing. This time is a big test. Because many have gone up to the border of the Third Level already. So it’s a big test. Oh, big test. Oh! A lot’s gone. A lot of you have failed. Well, I keep my heart pumping. Yeah, I’m pumped all the way. So only a few left. So next time, all of you be careful. All of you. The ones who have not passed the test, be careful. Nothing is real. The whole world is not real anyway, not to talk about scolding, “beating up,” why, any... nothing’s real. It’s all dream here. It’s difficult to realize it. Only when you go up high, then you see, “What the…? What have I been doing? I took enemies for friends. I took friends for enemies. I took good for bad. I took bad for good. I took a dream for reality, and I took reality for a dream.”
But of course, that’s the thing… That’s the thing of this world. From the Second World to the Astral, to the physical world, everybody enjoys this world so much. Nobody thinks of going up anywhere. Nobody is allowed to know anything of a higher realm, because if they do, everybody’ll immigrate, like refugees. All run, run. Nobody’d even care. They would throw all the bread and the juice, the fruit, everything, throw it, and then just run. That’s why you’re not allowed to know.
Also, it’s not because you’re not allowed to know, it’s just that the people in this world are too clouded by physical material. They’re not clear. They cannot be clear. That’s the thing. Even if they want to, they just don’t know. They couldn’t even pray very hard, except for material things: “Please help me so I’m healthy.” “Please help me to win the lotto.” “Please help my daughter have a good husband.” Bla bla... They hardly can pray to God for God. They don’t pray for Blessings to be higher up. They pray for material gain. That’s why it’s difficult to teach them. That’s why one Teacher is enough. Nobody listens. What for many more?
Even one, they killed Him, crucified Him, or throwed stones at Him, or fried Him alive, or burned Him, whatever. In this physical world, you cannot talk. Most beings are deaf, dumb, and blind. All they think of is material gain and things. Even if they pray to God, they just pray for material benefit most of the time. Therefore, if you can even get away from it, it’s good already. It’s good, good. It’s good.
Very difficult. Even if you came from the Third World. Many people who practice different methods, they can come to the Third Level, and then still they cannot go higher, and then they have to come down again. Only the Quan Yin Method can bring you up.
