Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan): We humans are powerful. So why do we need atom bombs when we are more powerful than atom bombs? Isn’t that silly? We get rid of all of them and just save the humans.

Lionel Friedberg (vegan): We’ve got wonderful things still in store for you. This is all about what comes from the heart. You know, COP16 is about politics, economics, intergovernmental communication. It’s about industry. It’s about all sorts of really big and important stuff. But when it comes down to it, it really gets down to personal choice. And I think that that emanates from the heart, doesn’t it? Supreme Master Ching Hai encompasses that in Her wisdom, in Her writings, in Her music. And it’s about consciousness. So, talent is always to be welcomed, because it comes from the same place – the heart.

Mariana Tosca (vegan): And I’d just like to make a note here that all of the dancers tonight are association members of Supreme Master Ching Hai’s Association. So, we applaud them all. You have an amazing array of talent here. It’s really quite extraordinary.

Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan): From different countries, that’s why. They’re all wonderful. You see how wonderful your country's people are? The Mexican, the Japanese, the Chinese, the Korean. They’re all wonderful people. (That’s true.) We have to protect them, by all means. Even if to forsake that piece of animal-people meat, we do it. For these kinds of people, for your people. They’re all wonderful. I wish they bring all the hundreds of countries’ natives here, it’s just the time is short, so next time.

Mariana Tosca (vegan): Our next performer is Melba Moore, a Tony Award-winning and 4-time Grammy-nominated singer with an absolutely magnificent voice. Although she is best known for rhythm and blues, this talented singer and actress has been praised for her broad and ever-expanding repertoire. (This evening Melba will share her amazing voice with us through her rendition of a poem written by Supreme Master Ching Hai. It’s called “You and the Kingdom,” with music composed by 2-time Oscar winner, Al Kasha. For her second number, Ms. Moore sings “Thanksgiving,” with music by Al and lyrics from a Supreme Master Ching Hai poem, written during Her youth. Please join me in welcoming Melba Moore.)

Melba Moore: It was amazing! Of course, the reason in terms of saving the planet is amazing, and I met Supreme Master Ching Hai for the first time today. When you see everything around you, you can see the power and the genius. But to meet Her, you see the spirit and the Love and the amazing things when you watch Her. It’s quite awe-inspiring. It’s kind of scary because it seems as though you’re kind of like in the presence of God, in a way that you haven’t been. And I’m getting a little bit more of the experience of what it is to fear God because it’s just so awesome, and it is totally good.

(So, do you envision that one day we’ll have a vegan world?) The ones that are safe and sound in a place where God has saved us because we heard and obeyed Him. You don’t just hear Him. You have to shut down, and you have to go, and you have to seek Him, and you have to listen. But when you do, and you do what He says, He saves you. So our world will be that. Yes, I think so.

(What are your hopes and wishes for the future?) Well, Peace. True Peace. The core of people that are really committed to that, to grow. And of course, that is the safety of the planet and our place in the universe. And not just here but when we pass on. Because we all know that this is a rehearsal, isn’t it? It’s not the end. And, of course, to be saintly in terms of helping, from Heaven and from here, for the future generations that’ll come. That’s what we all have in common. When you’re committed to that, I think you excel. Whatever it is you are gets to be excellent.
