In today’s episode, we’ll discuss the 12 signs of the zodiac, the 12 houses, and the various energies of the planets. Each planet represents certain ideologies, and according to the zodiac sign that it falls into, one will express behavior driven by the energies of that sign. The planets are divided into three groups according to their distance from the Sun. The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars are the personal planets. Jupiter and Saturn are the social planets, while Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are the collective planets. An additional body called Chiron, is an asteroid between Saturn and Uranus that bridges the gap between the social and collective planets. As we already mentioned, the Sun represents our identity and life’s purpose; the Moon forms our attitudes toward emotions, instincts, and nurturing; Mercury affects our attitudes about communication and learning; Venus tells us about how we approach love and pleasure; and Mars influences our approach to assertion and action. Jupiter affects growth and opportunity while Saturn involves authority and maturity. Finally, of the collective planets, Uranus concerns change and liberation; Neptune affects our ideal vision and what inspires us to action; Pluto relates to power and transformation, and finally Chiron affects healing and compassion. Each house represents a different area of life and depending on the planet and sign that sit in each house, your approach to that particular area of daily living is influenced. As you can see, astrology has many complexities, and has thus fascinated great thinkers and mathematicians for millennia.
